Health Food Store Policy

  1. The Health Food Store (HFS) has been established to conveniently provide health food and meat analogs to the CVAC Family and interested people in the community.
  2. The Church Board shall establish the position of Manager. The Church Board shall name the person to be the HFS Manager. The Manager consents to serve at the pleasure of the Church Board. Either party with no consequences can terminate this working agreement at any time.
  3. The HFS Manager can enlist the help of other volunteers to help run the store.
  4. The HFS Manager will maintain a checking/savings account. This account is for deposits, and the purchase of stock, and equipment repair, and other items or services deemed necessary by the Church Board.
  5. The HFS’s Finances shall be maintained on a computer using a software package, which is able to give timely and accurate reports. A bi-annual P/L report will be submitted to the Finance Committee, or at any other time they may be requested. Inventory shall be taken and reported by the date of 30 June each year. The records will be made available to the conference auditor should they be required.
  6. The HFS Manager shall make recommendations to the Church Board and/or Property management Committee for facility improvements/modifications, and major equipment purchases.
  7. Disbursement of the HFS’s profits will be done at the pleasure of the Church Board.
